Carpentry Brothers is a Derby-based carpentry and joinery business established in the summer of 2019. With over 12 years of professional experience across Sweden and England, the company is built on solid training, large-scale construction experience, and a deep commitment to quality craftsmanship.
Founded as a partnership shortly after moving to England in early 2019, Carpentry Brothers began as a collaboration between two close friends united not only by their trade but also by their shared Christian faith. Though not biological brothers, the name reflects a spiritual brotherhood and a shared foundation of trust, integrity and dedication. When one partner later chose to pursue a Master’s degree while continuing pastoral work, the business continued independently under the same name — carrying forward the same values and standards it was built on.
Born and raised in Sweden, I completed formal carpentry education at college, graduating in 2011 before beginning my career as an apprentice in the construction industry.
My early years were spent working on large-scale residential developments, including apartment buildings of 20–40 flats and terraced housing projects. This experience provided strong structural understanding and exposure to major construction sites.
From 2013 until relocating to England in 2019, I worked with a respected Swedish construction company specialising in timber frame houses built in traditional Scandinavian style. During this time, I gained hands-on experience in building homes from foundation to roof, as well as carrying out a wide range of residential renovation projects. This is where I developed much of my joinery expertise and attention to detail.
In 2015, I received professional certification from the Swedish Construction Industry Training Board (BYN), confirming recognised trade competence within the Swedish construction sector.
Carpentry Brothers now works primarily with private homeowners across Derby and surrounding areas. Work is also carried out for landlords and occasional commercial clients.
